This is one of the best foreign textbooks on political science. He introduces the reader as fully as possible into the problems of modern politics and political science. Much attention is paid to globalization, the movements of feminism and the "greens", the rise of ethnosocialism. The textbook also examines traditional approaches to the discipline, as well as concepts and ideas of the classics of political thought – Plato, Aristotle, Hobbes, Locke, Marx, Mill, etc. The book has five parts: "Political theories", "Nations and globalization", "Political interaction", "Mechanisms of public administration", "Politics and functioning of political systems". Each chapter opens with a general look at its main issues and topics. At the end of the chapter, there are conclusions and a list of issues for discussion. The insets highlight a particular term or concept. The "Pay attention" insets offer a more in-depth look at the relevant theories and concepts. Biographies of political leaders and a dictionary of political terms are also provided.
