Аннотация
In the novel "Deserters", Jurado refers to a historical novel, he describes in detail the events of the Thousand-Year War in the third person, telling about childhood, adolescence, military service and the death of Victoriano Lorenzo. alternating this story with the story of Eduardo and Esther, the co-main characters of this novel. And "The Attic," a psychological novel that eventually made him one of the most successful representatives of the Panamanian novel. Divided into two parts, it is told in pure, detailed prose and very rich metaphorical language, which is a distinctive feature of Jurado's literature. I, along with Joaquin Belegno, Tristan Solarte and many other Panamanian figures of the so-called generation of '44, were part of a group striving to create patriotic literature inspired by the arrogant Republic of Panama.
