The manual discusses the methodology of cluster analysis in the SPSS environment, the scientific aspects of diagnosing the state of socio-economic processes, and other issues related to multivariate statistical analysis. The author offers an original interpretation of the concept of "diagnosis," improves the normative method, and expands its scope. The manual also develops a methodology for using nonparametric methods, which determines the reliability of scientific research results in the context of interdisciplinary studies
